To help investigate a bug or calculation concern, include enough context to reproduce the issue without exposing sensitive personal data.

• The screen or feature affected
• Steps to reproduce the issue
• What you expected to happen and what actually happened

Protect your information

Please avoid sending real payslips, National Insurance numbers, tax codes, employer details, salary figures, pension documents, student loan account details or other personal financial information.

If an example is needed, use fictional or anonymised figures that still show the issue.

Calculation questions

TaxOnPay provides estimates for general information and personal planning. Actual payroll outcomes can differ because of employer payroll settings, HMRC records, tax code changes, year-to-date values, timing, rounding and individual circumstances.

For decisions with financial consequences, check with HMRC, your employer, your payroll provider, your pension provider, Student Loans Company or an appropriately qualified professional.
